questions

  • My full session rate for individual therapy is $165, with intake sessions costing $195.

Group therapy rates are $75 per 90-minute session.

I have sliding scale rates available. If cost is an issue for you, please inquire about sliding scale options at our initial consultation.

  • Yes. If cost is a barrier for you to receive adequate mental health care, we can discuss the possibility of a lower rate. Please mention if this is something you are interested in at or ahead of our initial 15-minute consultation.

  • I don't currently accept insurance due to my licensure status as a registered associate. While I plan to panel with insurance companies once I'm fully licensed, many clients appreciate that private pay allows us greater privacy (insurance companies don't access your records), no requirement for a formal diagnosis, and more flexibility in how we structure your care. I'm happy to provide a superbill if you'd like to seek reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.

  • We meet through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform called SimplePractice. You can join from your phone, tablet, or computer—all you need is a private space and a stable internet connection.

Virtual/online therapy works much like meeting in person: we see each other face-to-face on video, focus on what’s coming up for you, and build a consistent relationship over time. Many clients appreciate the comfort and flexibility of meeting from home or another space where they feel safe.

  • Item descriptionYour first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we're a good fit. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, what you're hoping to get from therapy, and any questions you have about the process. I'll ask about what's going on for you at a pace that feels comfortable, and we'll start to figure out where to begin.

Finding the right therapist is important. If either of us senses that we're not the best match during our first session, that's completely okay—I'll help connect you with other providers who might be a better fit for what you need.

  •  Please provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations (less than 48 hours notice) and no-shows will be charged at 50% of the session fee. You'll receive one grace cancellation per year before any fees apply. I understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances happen—no fee will be charged in these cases. However, if frequent last-minute cancellations become a pattern, we may need to discuss whether our current arrangement is working for both of us.

  • What you share in therapy is confidential. I'm required by Oregon law to break confidentiality only in specific situations: if there's risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse or neglect of a child/elderly person/dependent adult, or if ordered by a court.

As Professional Counselor Associate, I participate in clinical supervision and consultation where I may discuss our work while protecting your identity. I use SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant platform, for records and teletherapy sessions.

Between-session communication should be minimal and only through SimplePractice's secure email for scheduling and brief administrative matters. For crises, please call 911 or a crisis line.
